AI Motion Intelligence for
Human Performance

Surgery

Our motion-intelligence platform turns video and sensor signals into objective, real-time feedback on how people move. Designed for high-skill training and assessment in healthcare and other high-impact industries, it runs on mobile devices so it works in real training environments.

What it Does

We turn routine training videos into measurable performance insights. Instead of relying only on subjective observation, the system quantifies how a task is performed and tracks progress over time—so coaching and improvement become consistent and repeatable.

We generate objective metrics such as:

  • Precision for Completion

  • Time efficiency

  • Economy of motion

These metrics power real-time, video-based feedback that helps users adjust technique during practice and supports scalable review and benchmarking. Optional sensor inputs (e.g., wearables/IMU) can further improve motion fidelity and robustness in challenging conditions.

Our flagship implementation is Suture Coach, an AI-powered suturing assessment and training platform that delivers objective feedback for complex technical skill development, supported through an NIH-funded effort.

Surgical Team in Operation

Our system combines mobile video capture, proprietary vision models, and real-time motion analytics to produce actionable training insights and coaching signals—optionally enhanced with wearable and sensor data for even richer movement fidelity.

Mobile Video Capture

Training sessions are recorded using standard mobile devices in simulation and practice environments - fast setup, repeatable capture.

Computer Vision + Motion Intelligence

We automatically identify the tools and hands in the video, track key movements over time, and compute objective motion metrics to generate training insights and coaching signals.

Wearables + Sensor Fusion

Optional wearables (e.g., AI glasses and IMU sensors) enhance first-person capture and motion fidelity, reduce occlusions, and enable hands-free tagging and audio cues.

Real-Time Feedback Loop

As motion data is processed, the system delivers immediate feedback showing where technique is strong and where efficiency or control breaks down - supporting faster iteration and improvement.

Optimized for On-Device Deployment

We design the platform for mobile environments so it can operate in real training settings where responsiveness, portability, and privacy are non-negotiable.
